I’m very proud to say that i’ve been given my very first solo show. The images are from a body of work that I did on the Texas coast shortly after Hurricane Ike. The show up through Sept. 25 at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.

Yesterday a photo of mine was selected to appear on the Photo District News Photo Of The Day Blog. The photo is from a series I did two years as the contents of the Watergate Hotel were sold off room by room to the public prior to a planned renovation. Last week the hotel was sold at auction because the owners could no longer afford the renovations or the property itself because of the economic downturn. A few weeks ago I was sent on a really fun assignment by Express (the free newspaper made by the folks as The Washington Post) to photograph the American History Museum as its renovation was nearing completion. It was pretty neat seeing every thing covered, boxed up and in a total state of disarray. And earlier this week the photos ran:

I was sent this little gem today. The image is from my thesis project America: An Excessive Satire, project blog here, photo essay here. I’m glad to see it found a double truck as a home. The page title roughly means “Child’s Play” and the sub title (thanks to a comment from Brian) translates to ” In the US, you can fire heavy machine guns for fun. Good for minors…”
