It’s that time of year again, the pardoning of this years National Thanksgiving Turkey, Courage, by the President. I beleive this quote sums it all up: “You know, there are certain days that remind me of why I ran for this office. And then there are moments like this — where I pardon a turkey and send it to Disneyland.”

I’ve seen quite a bit of the Stanley Cup these last few days. Earlier this week as I was stepping out of the Metro station on Capitol Hill I noticed a man carrying a very large, very shiny object in the distance. When I caught up to him, I realized he was walking down the street with the Stanley Cup. Then yesterday President Obama welcomed the Pittsburgh Penguins to the White House and at the end of the event he picked up the cup and posed for a photo with the team.
