Time for some more images from my Cold War Project shooting in the San Francisco area a few months back. These come from a Integrated Fire Control site on the California Coast a few miles from the Golden Gate Bridge. The site once housed the radars that were part of the Nike missile system in the area. Its located on top of a mountain range and I have to say, its one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen in a long time.

And, I presume, you were not arrested/detained by HSA. Perhaps you have a special Pass from the White House?
Larry, I may have run into some issues in the 1960’s and 70’s, but the station has long been abandoned. It’s actually part of a National Park now and a hiking/biking trail runs right through it. Also, the only fully preserved Nike missile launcher base is down the hill from it. Which is maintained by the National Park Service.
